Most of my canvasses are created using acrylic paints as I love the freedom this paint gives me. I build up layers of texture with thick impasto marks, layer over thin translucent washes, and over-paint again and again to achieve the depth of colours and tones.

More recently I've begun to paint with oils, particularly when painting en plein air because his allows for longer drying times in which the paint remains workable for a lot longer. 

I'm enjoying the use of this different media.
